This is my favorite activity on the farm. Its like painting the landscape with a giant paintbrush. Soon the earth will give life to these seeds and with care, faith and a little luck these seeds will go through their beautiful journey which ends in a bountiful harvest. Golden Harvest - Turkey Red Heritage Wheat
Brought to America by Immigrants in the 1870's, this grain has been a staple in many farms and homesteads over the years. It grows exceptionally well in Northern Michigan producing a rich flavored berry perfect for your homesteader style pie crusts, scones and cookies.
